The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of hospital. Through the ACLS course, providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. ACLS emphasizes the importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival; the integration of effective basic life support with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions; and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation. This course is based on simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through learning stations where students will practice essential skills individually, as part of a team, and as team leader. Realistic simulations reinforce the following key concepts: proficiency in basic life support care; recognizing and initiating early management of peri-arrest conditions; managing cardiac arrest; identifying and treating ischemic chest pain and acute coronary syndromes; recognizing other life-threatening clinical situations (such as stroke) and providing initial care; ACLS algorithms; and effective resuscitation team dynamics.

Recognition of STEMI and management of ROSC are an integral part of the course.

Thank you for your interest in the Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) course with EM-Teaching.

AMLS remains the gold standard in education for the emergency medical assessment and treatment of acutely ill patients. Endorsed by the National Association of EMS Physicians, AMLS focuses on the use of the AMLS Assessment Pathway—a systematic, evidence-based approach for evaluating and managing a wide range of medical conditions with speed and accuracy.

Through realistic, case-based scenarios, students will develop their ability to:

  • Conduct thorough scene size-ups and form effective first impressions

  • Take meaningful histories and perform focused physical exams

  • Engage in interactive discussions to explore differential diagnoses

  • Apply critical thinking and decision-making strategies to high-acuity patients

The course features the third edition AMLS library of simulations, offering an immersive experience enhanced by patient monitor images and ECGs from iSimulate.

Topics covered include:

  • Respiratory disorders

  • Cardiovascular disorders

  • Shock

  • Sepsis

  • Neurological disorders

  • Endocrine/Metabolic disorders

  • Environmental emergencies

  • Infectious diseases

  • Abdominal disorders

  • Toxicological emergencies

  • Exposure to hazardous materials

The AMLS textbook and course manual are required for the course and are not included in the course fee. Please contact us to receive a discount code through our publishing partner.

Join us for our babysitter class.

This fast-paced class will teach young adults what is expected of a good babysitter. This class deals with routines, bedtime, diaper changing, nutrition, feeding, temper tantrums, first aid, and CPR. If the student demonstrates the skills and passes the test, the student leaves with a CPR certificate and a babysitting certificate. it is recommended for students every 2 years. Students should be 12+ years old at the time of the class.

hank you for your interest in the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course offered through EM-Teaching.

The PALS course is based on the latest American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines for CPR and ECC. It is designed to equip pediatric healthcare providers with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies in infants and children, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes.

Key skills covered in the PALS course include:

  • Early recognition and management of pediatric patients at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest

  • Systematic pediatric assessment

  • Effective airway and respiratory management

  • Defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion

  • Intraosseous access and fluid bolus administration

  • High-performance team dynamics and communication

Flexible Learning Option:

EM-Teaching has partnered with the American Heart Association to offer a convenient, blended learning format. This allows participants to complete the didactic portion online—from home or work—at their own pace. The hands-on practical component can then be completed in a short session at our simulation lab.

Thank you for your interest in the Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) course with EM-Teaching.

Recognized internationally as the leading continuing education program for prehospital emergency trauma care, PHTLS is designed to promote excellence in trauma patient management across all levels of EMS. Developed by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) in cooperation with the American College of Surgeons' Committee on Trauma, PHTLS is grounded in medical oversight and expert guidance to ensure the highest standards of trauma education.

The PHTLS program improves trauma care and reduces mortality by focusing on the unique needs of the multi-system trauma patient. It emphasizes:

  • Critical thinking and sound decision-making in the field

  • A systematic approach to trauma assessment and management

  • The development of skills to manage both blunt and penetrating trauma

  • Evidence-based practices that empower EMS providers to deliver effective, timely interventions

Important Note: The course textbook is not included in the cost of registration. However, through our partnership with the publisher, we are able to offer a discount code for the book. Please contact us to receive the code.

Thank you for your interest in the Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course with EM-Teaching.

This course is designed to equip EMS practitioners and other prehospital providers with the skills and knowledge to respond effectively in a civilian tactical environment. The curriculum is based on real-world scenarios and follows the TECC guidelines, structured around the three phases of tactical care:

  • Hot Zone / Direct Threat Care: Care provided while under active threat or attack.

  • Warm Zone / Indirect Threat Care: Care administered after the threat has been suppressed but may return.

  • Cold Zone / Evacuation Care: Care rendered during evacuation from the incident scene.

Please Note: The course book is not included in the registration cost. However, we’ve partnered with the publisher to offer a discount code for purchasing the book.

Please note that this is a very physically demanding course.
